Why I have a problem with the 3by3 Writing Method

I created the method, I believe in it. But there’s a problem with it. My personality, like many other writers is that of a solitary individual who likes to control his characters, plots and conflicts.
But the 3by3 writing method requires that you plot the story before writing.
The problem is that I don’t like to be told what to do. The good news is that the plot plan isn’t that strict. The scenes are loosely constructed and the order is not final. Shuffling the order of the scenes is a constant option.
So, although I resist the inconvenience of being told what to do, by myself, I know that with a plan, the first draft can be completed without stalling, wondering how it ends.

About 3by3 writing method

The author of 12 books, half of them textbooks, two novels and three self help. has struggled with his challenges of completion, distractions, plotting and writers block. Finally after getting stopped I stopped and analyzed what was going on and spent a lot of introspection, research and reading trying to locate the source of these issues. The result of was the 3by3 writing method - a three step program to start and then continue the process of completing a story all the way to publication.
