the wandering writer – not a 3by3 follower

I met a writer a while back. He said his story kept wandering and had trouble finishing everything. When I asked him if he plotted the book he said no. I mentioned that might be the problem. He replied that he didn’t like rules.
I did not argue, but his problem is common with writers who think inspiration will carry through 3-500 pages of story, I firmly believe if a person was that inspired, they would spontaneously combust.
The book requires discipline and plan or he will wander for days and days.

About 3by3 writing method

The author of 12 books, half of them textbooks, two novels and three self help. has struggled with his challenges of completion, distractions, plotting and writers block. Finally after getting stopped I stopped and analyzed what was going on and spent a lot of introspection, research and reading trying to locate the source of these issues. The result of was the 3by3 writing method - a three step program to start and then continue the process of completing a story all the way to publication.
