3by3 – that beautiful day when you just cant stop – (writing of course)- here’s a suggestion

Those days come, when you least expect it. You sit in your writing spot and suddenly, out of nowhere, comes a waterfall of words, conflicts, scenes and ideas.
This happened to me twice a while ago. I did not fight it and it resulted in 100 single spaced pages of misspelled, unruly words.
But three years later a very exciting book (Protecting the Source) came from it.
If this happens to you here are my suggestions –
Be as clear as you can about the vision you are having
No matter what, do not go back and rewrite
keep writing as long as you can, even if these are notes that suddenly become scenes, move forward because the train of thought can be revisited.
finally, print out the file and save it on the computer and online (see previous blog about saving files on google docs)
These are rare moment of clarity and it is important to write everything that comes to your mind.

About 3by3 writing method

The author of 12 books, half of them textbooks, two novels and three self help. has struggled with his challenges of completion, distractions, plotting and writers block. Finally after getting stopped I stopped and analyzed what was going on and spent a lot of introspection, research and reading trying to locate the source of these issues. The result of was the 3by3 writing method - a three step program to start and then continue the process of completing a story all the way to publication.
