Faith, Copyright, and Karma

Yesterday at 11 pm I looked at my daily site stats and saw I’d had doubled my best day hits.Yes! I was super-blogger, a one month wonder, a giant among giants.
On further examination I discovered there was one hit on every blog I‘d written in the past three weeks, in other words, every single post had been visited! Could someone really read all that in a single hour?
What was this person up to? Did they cut and paste my years’ worth of experience to sell it? Panic City! Legal drama! Stop thief!
Ah but then logic and sanity came a knockin’. If it’s good enough to steal then it’s good enough to sell. If it’s that good, and they know it’s that good to sell. I’ll get my piece of the action because its mine.
It makes no sense to leave your wallet on the street. But you have to have some faith that your locked car won’t be stolen.
I have assets, copyright laws and evil twin who has no problem taking a thief and making them pay. And they will suffer terribly, in THIS life from bad Karma (you’ve been warned!)
On the other hand what if I have just motivated an aspiring writer to read every article I’ve posted and is going to be the next Tony Robbins? Or Stephen King, or just a king… you never know they might write a masterpiece called “Holly Would, But Stacy Won’t – A Story of Write and Wronged”…. oh wait I did that.
I guess ya just gotta have a little faith.

About 3by3 writing method

The author of 12 books, half of them textbooks, two novels and three self help. has struggled with his challenges of completion, distractions, plotting and writers block. Finally after getting stopped I stopped and analyzed what was going on and spent a lot of introspection, research and reading trying to locate the source of these issues. The result of was the 3by3 writing method - a three step program to start and then continue the process of completing a story all the way to publication.

  1. Janece says:

Maybe it’s just the google spiders 🙂

  2. I was thinking it may be new spider technology – my blog approached best ever hits yesterday, but appeared to be scattered as single hits across many pages (haven’t delved that deeply into the stats yet)…

    • or it could be someone who just wanted all the information on one page, perhaps a person who had limited internet access, or just didn’t want to keep referring to the posts.
I am going to be positive. I did notice that googling “3by3 writing method” brought up a few of these posts, so, perhaps it was google.

    • thanks for the info. I did a google search this morning for “3by3 writing” and two posts from this site came up at the top of page one. Good Call, I mentioned your name in today’s post about this result. I hope you don’t mind (ill revise if it its a problem)

  3. Maybe it’s someone who is simply using copy & paste foor themselves. To have near and dear their writing.

    • I hope so. I had a day of sadness, thinking my work was being misused, however, after a little reflection I decided to continue. Whether it is someone who didn’t want to constantly be online referring to the posts, or a Google program searching the site, or someone misusing my words, MY my job is continue and not be afraid or deterred (much like writing a book)
